Campus sustainability groups

Dalhousie has many different groups and societies working together to create a more sustainable campus.

Dalhousie Office of Sustainability

The Office of Sustainability is Dalhousie's administrative department that focuses on campus operations  and events driven to engage and enhance the experience of the Dalhousie community.

College of Sustainability

The College of Sustainability offers an innovative and interdisciplinary Environment, Sustainability, and Society (ESS) undergraduate program. The ESS program examines global environmental, economic, and social concerns within the context of current and future sustainability.

The College offers both a virtual and a physical common place for the study of sustainability-based problems at Dalhousie University.

President’s Advisory Council on Sustainability

The President’s Advisory Council on Sustainability (PACS) provides an ongoing forum for sustainability discussions at the university. The Council includes membership from faculties, departments, student organizations, and community members. The Agricultural Campus has a Sustainability Committee that reports to PACS. There are subcommittees of PACS that focus on a topic during a certain period of time.
