Community Involvement

Reaching out and inviting the community in

Our campus community is strengthened by the community around us. We recognize the importance of community and often award, recognize and get involved with our neighbours from both the local community and communities around the world.

Garden Box

The Garden Box is an online place to find credible, science-based garden knowledge in a format that is accessible to anyone, at any time. Whether you're looking for the specific growing requirements of tomatoes or trying to think of an exercise for community garden volunteers, we trust that this site will provide some solutions for you.

Rock Garden Club

The Nova Scotia Rock Garden Club is a group of gardeners interested in rock gardening that also supports the Rock Garden at the Agricultural Campus. It is a chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society.

Friends of the Garden

The Friends of the Garden was created to help maintain the specialist plant collections at the College - including the Herb Garden, the Native Plant Garden, and the Alumni Gardens.

Community Day

Every July, the whole campus joins together for our community during Community Day. It's a day of fun and exploration featuring wagon rides, garden tours, BBQ, musical entertainment, artwork, games, activities and exhibits from many of our departments.
