Why choose this program?

The Master of Science in Chemistry is a thesis‑based program that puts research at the centre of your graduate experience. You’ll work closely with a supervisor and build advanced skills through hands‑on research.

The Department of Chemistry offers research opportunities across analytical, organic, inorganic, physical chemistry, and biochemistry. Through your thesis work, you’ll strengthen critical thinking, data analysis, and scientific communication skills.

In this program, you shape your studies around an original research project in a field that aligns with your interests. You’ll work one‑on‑one with a faculty supervisor and choose courses that support your research goals.

Graduates often move into research roles in industry or government, or continue into doctoral studies.
