Customize your degree
The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture is offered for full-time study on the Truro campus. Normally, students select a major during their first year and continue in that field of study until they graduate. Students interested in more than one discipline can pursue a double major.
Any student at the Faculty of Agriculture can participate in a credit-based, agriculture internship course (AGRI 2001). This elective course can count toward your degree and provide you with a learning opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge.
Students completing an honours project will have the opportunity to discuss the possibilities of working with industry on this important learning journey.
Admission requirements
Minimum admission requirements
To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:
- Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
- Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice.
- Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course).
Admission to many Dalhousie programs is competitive. This means that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Pre-calculus Math 12*
- Three additional academic subjects
*If you don't have the appropriate pre-calculus math class, but are otherwise qualified, you may be admitted on the condition that you complete a Grade 12 pre-calculus equivalent upgrading course before you arrive at Dalhousie.
