Apply Now – Internship or Co‑op
Co-op terms and research internships are arranged through various Faculties and provide students with the opportunity to combine hands-on work experience with an international perspective. Timeframes vary depending on program requirements and specific opportunities.
1. Receive your acceptance
If you are selected to participate in a co-op or internship, you will receive a formal offer letter from your international employer. Keep this letter on file, as you may need to provide it to immigration officials to demonstrate that you have been chosen to participate in the program.
2. Meet with your Co-op office or Internship Advisor
Each co-op and internship program at Dalhousie will have different expectations for participating in an International Learning Experience. Please set up an appointment to ensure you are completing what is required of you.
3. Meet Dalhousie's pre-departure requirements
As soon as you have received an offer letter from your employer you can start your pre-departure work.
4. Apply for bursaries, scholarships, and grants
Once you've started to think about booking plane tickets and securing a visa if necessary, you should consider the funding options available
