About this resource

Open to high school students entering grades 9 – 12 in Fall 2025, the Ocean and Climate Innovation Program is a 5 day summer program that invites participants to learn about ocean technologies, engineering, climate data and artificial intelligence while completing an innovative Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) design project.

Students will build, customize and test their own ROV, collecting real-time ocean data which they will analyze and interpret to understand the impacts of climate change as it relates to Nova Scotia.

Hosted at Dalhousie University, the Ocean and Climate Innovation Program will feature hands-on projects, visits to research labs and networking opportunities with local industry professionals.
