Nestled amid the gorgeous scenery just outside Truro, Nova Scotia, Dalhousie’s Agricultural Campus is only an hour away from Halifax and a short 40-minute drive from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. You’ll find everything you need as a student within walking or biking distance.
The Agricultural Campus is home to the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture, the only faculty of its kind in Eastern Canada. You'll find state-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for the research and study of agriculture and related disciplines.
The campus is a living lab made up of dynamic indoor and outdoor classrooms, including barns and buildings that house a range of animals – from cattle to mink. Scattered across the campus, working gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for your university experience. These living classrooms are valuable teaching and research resources. Some gardens even provide vegetables for on-campus dining.
As a student at the Faculty of Agriculture, you will have full access to the Langille Athletic Centre. Enjoy recreational and fitness activities, facilities and programs, including weight rooms, cardio machines, badminton, squash, basketball and fitness classes.
The MacRae Library has the largest collection of agricultural resources in Canada's Atlantic Provinces. Friendly librarians provide assistance in navigating the vast amount of information available to you.
