From national initiatives to election campaigns, Kristan has applied her considerable experience and talents across Canada. Most recently as Chief of Staff to the Premier of Nova Scotia, she focused on policy development and grassroots movements while tackling Nova Scotia’s challenges and turning them into opportunities.
Today, as NATIONAL’s Vice President of Public Affairs, she brings her vast experience and leadership in communications, issues and crisis management, advocacy, government relations, media relations and stakeholder engagement to clients throughout Atlantic Canada and across the NATIONAL network.
Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Kristan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in Political Science from Acadia University and a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science (International Relations) from Dalhousie University. She has served on the Advisory Board of the Manning School of Business at Acadia University, and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Phoenix Youth Board of Directors.
