New to Dal AC programming will be held in-person on our Agricultural Campus in Truro. Students will have access to additional supports and information virtually. Online components can be accessed at dal.ca/brightspace

Get involved with New to Dal to win Dal gear and other prizes by attending events. Attend and check-in to New to Dal AC events throughout the month of January using the DalU App for your chance to great prizes. Full schedule available soon in  the DalU app. 

Please note that event information may be updated as needed due to weather and campus storm closures. Any major changes to the schedule during New to Dal will be shared with students via Instagram.

On-campus Housing & Residence Life

Before you Arrive 

Living in Residence courses

All students living on campus are required to complete the Before you Arrive module found in the Residence Hub of DalOnline. This virtual session reviews key items you need to know before moving-in to campus housing. To access this module login to DalOnline, navigate to Web for Students, Residence Application and select 'Click Here to Apply'. Once in the Residence Application Hub, click the "Before you Arrive" button. 

On-campus students must also complete the Dal AC Residence Community Module located in Brightspace. This virtual workshop covers information about living on campus within the Dal AC community.

Dal U and MS Teams

International Orientation 

Virtual

International students beginning their studies with Dalhousie in the fall are encouraged to connect with the International Centre Community within the Dal U App.

The International Centre is offering several virtual pre-arrival sessions to provide students with information on the student health plan, what to expect during their first year at Dal, understanding Canadian culture and immigration essentials.  

DalCard and Textbook Pick-up

On-campus students will pick up their DalCard when checking-in to campus housing. Off-campus students will need to pick up their DalCard from Enrolment Services

Remember to submit your photo for your DalCard prior to arriving on campus to ensure it is printed for when you arrive.

Tuition and student loan inquiries, registration issues and DalCard pick-up 

 

Tuition and fees are due on January 22nd, 2026, for the winter term and can be paid online. Students with questions on how to pay online or who are experiencing challenges around course registration can stop-in for support.

Monday to Thursday, 10:00am - 3:00pm 

Shop for Textbooks and Dal Gear

 

Drop-in during store hours to purchase course textbooks, school supplies, and Dalhousie-branded items.

Info about required texts can be found at the Bookstore or in course outlines provided by instructors. Students may wait to purchase textbooks until after attending their first class.
