ITS launched a new Dalhousie Service Portal on May 12. All new ITS service requests should be submitted through the new portal, which offers faster routing, full request tracking, and access to self‑service resources.
Open ITS requests from MySupport have been migrated and users will be able to view and manage these requests on the new portal.
We can help you with your technology-related questions or issues. Our standard support services include:
- Warranty work on Dalhousie owned Windows computers. For more information on how to procure a computer from Dalhousie DCP, please visit Dalhousie Computer Purchasing and Leasing Program.
- Installation and troubleshooting of all ITS provided software (O365, Windows 11, security tools, Konica printer software, etc.)
- Network access
- New computer set up and orientation for employees
- Virus removal and account remediation
- Account management and Multi-Factor Authentication
- MAC machines supported on a best effort basis only while under warranty
It does not include:
- Hardware work on non-warranty machines
- Support for personally owned computers
- Support for computers purchased via another reseller without the agreement and involvement of ITS
- If you’re purchasing a computer through a reseller for research or any other special use, please reach out to ITS for additional support information
- Off campus support for remote workers, this is by appointment on campus or remotely
- Personal mobile device support
- Setup of computer desks or other furniture
- Installation of monitor stands
