Peer Advising
Looking for help with your resume, CV, cover letter, or statement of intent? Need ideas for where to start your job search? Not sure what to expect in a job interview? Maybe you’re looking to get your headshot taken for your LinkedIn profile? Our peer advisors are here to help!
Our peer advisors are able to help you prepare for and navigate the job search and application process. They can review your career documents, show you job search engines and resources, help you prepare for an interview, or even take your headshot for you.
A typical peer advising appointment might include:
- Reviewing your resume, CV, cover letter, or statement of intent.
- Learning how to use myCareer, as well as other job and volunteer search engines.
- Discussing interview preparation tips or engaging in a mock interview where the peer advisor asks you common interview questions.
- Getting your headshot taken for your LinkedIn profile.
Peer advising appointments are unlimited and free to all Dalhousie and King’s students and alumni up to two years post-convocation.
