Transfer credits at Dalhousie are campus specific. Equivalencies between Dalhousie’s Agricultural and Halifax campuses can be viewed by searching Dal - Faculty of Agriculture. Grades, credit hours, year courses were completed, and degree requirements may affect transferability.

The following course codes are associated with Dalhousie’s Agricultural Campus: ACAD, AGRI, AGRN, ANSC, APSC, AQUA, ARTS, BIOA, BVSC, CMMT, CHMA, CSCA, ECOA, ENGN, EGLA, ENVA, EXTE, FOOD, GENE, GEOA, GELA, HORT, INFB, LARC, MGTA, MTHA, MCRA, NUTR, PHLA, PHYS, PLSC, POLS, PSYC, RESM, SOCI, SOIL, SPNA, SPEC, STAA, VTEC.

The remainder are associated with Dalhousie’s Halifax-based programs. Courses may be reassessed if an equivalency for a student’s specific campus is not available.

Incoming Students

If you have completed courses at another post-secondary institution, you may be eligible to receive credit for electives or specific courses.  You can search for courses from other institutions and see how they transfer to Dalhousie.

Current Students

If you are a current Dalhousie student who has completed your first year of study and are looking to take a course at another university or pursue a departmental exchange or study abroad program, you can search for possible equivalents for specific Dalhousie courses at other institutions.
