Why study Agricultural Economics at Dalhousie?

In 2014, the agri-food industry accounted for one in eight jobs in Canada. From international trade to product pricing to resource preservation, the agri-food industry faces many demands and challenges in the years ahead. Students who graduate with a major in Agricultural Economics from Dalhousie are uniquely prepared to meet these demands and rise to these challenges.

At Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture in Truro, NS, expert faculty and leading researchers guide students through a program that blends science and economics. In our small classes, you'll receive individual attention and engage in spirited debate with classmates, developing valuablecritical thinking and problem solving skills.

In this intimate learning environment, you'll learn to see issues from a global perspective and develop the leadership skills to succeed in fields including—but not limited to— the agri-food sector.
