Why Dal?

Dalhousie University has been my academic home for the past five years. I love how small and close-knit the faculty is. Through seminars in my undergraduate degree I discovered my love for research, and I decided to continue pursuing my passion for knowledge through an MA in Musicology at Dal!

What Inspires You?

I am inspired by live performance. I’m interested in the hierarchical nature of performance and how performance has been used as a subversive tool throughout history. After travelling to Cesky Krumlov in the summer of 2018, I fell in love with the Baroque Era; it offers the perfect landscape to study socioeconomic division of art. Plus, who doesn’t love a good bow?
