Boots n' Blooms

Boots ‘n’ Blooms is an annual tradition on the Agricultural Campus — a day of sweat equity from green-thumbed volunteers from the Ag community.

This year the event will be on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026.

2026 Theme: Cultivating Community

Cultivating Community celebrates the power of gardening to bring people together. Shared green spaces can foster friendships, wellness, sustainability, and a stronger campus spirit. Through planting, learning, and creating side by side, participants are invited to nurture not only gardens, but also a sense of belonging and community.  Bring your best garden and nature inspired costumes.

This event is rooted in collaboration and teamwork. Boots 'n’ Blooms is a testament to the Friends of the Garden, a mighty group of volunteers who have donated countless hours of their time over the years to help maintain the gardens on campus.

Participate in teams and take part in some of the following activities:

  • prune a shrub or vine
  • plant an annual
  • edge a bed or walk
  • weed a garden
  • garden with a friend
  • mulch a planting
  • add some plant labels
  • wash a bench
