Letters and confirmations

Request official letters or confirmations of enrolment, degree, or language of instruction through Dal Online or the Registrar’s Office.

How to request a letter of confirmation

There may be times when you need to provide a third party with proof of registration, graduation, or the awarding of a degree. 

Current students

You can request the following letters in Dal Online (login required): 

  • Confirmation of enrolment 
  • Confirmation of degree awarded 
  • Confirmation of language of instruction 
  • Post-graduate work permit letter 
  • Custom Letter 

Letters are issued via the MyCredsTM Digital Credential Network, a secure platform for sharing your official credentials and documents with a third party. You will be notified by email when your letter is ready to be shared via your digital wallet. 


Former students

Former students must complete the Request for a Letter of Confirmation form  and submit it to the Registrar's Office.


Processing timeline

  • Standard letters: 1-2 business days
  • Custom letters: 5-7 business days

Cost

  • Standard Letter: $10.00 plus tax per share credit, paid through the MyCreds™ portal. 
  • Custom Letter: $25.00 plus tax per share credit, paid through the MyCreds™ portal.   

Note: To access your credentials, you must purchase at least one share credit.
