Graduate Student Society

Students getting active

The Graduate Student Society (GSS) is the representative body for graduate students in Health Promotion, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies. GSS council members represent the Health and Human Performance student body, both within the School and at the larger university.

Get involved

The Health and Human Performance GSS is one of the most active graduate student societies on campus. The GSS holds regular meetings to organize fundraising and recreational activities that will get students active and involved on and off campus. These opportunities allow GSS students to get to know one another, have fun, and contribute to the broader community.

Activities and events organized by the GSS

  • sea kayaking
  • collecting for Christmas food hampers
  • the CIBC Run for the Cure
  • Halifax AIDS Walk
  • MS Society Bike-a-thon
  • ultimate Frisbee
  • pool tournaments
  • hiking
  • barbecues
  • potlucks
