Set up email, get help with applications and more

As a Faculty of Agriculture student, your online Dalhousie student profile is now available. Your profile will allow you to register for classes, access student services and create your Dalhousie email account.

You will find detailed steps and information below on how to access your new student profile.

Next steps

Find your NetID (requires Dalhousie ID)

Your NetID (and password) will get you access to Dalhousie's online systems, but first you need to activate it:

  1. Go to the NetID & Password page and enter your Dalhousie ID
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions, including the Change Password option
  3. Be sure to write down your NetID and password

Activate DalOnline

DalOnline will replace WebAdvisor in June as your course registration system. It also gives you access to your grades and personal information. Please take the following steps to ensure your information is correct:

  1. Go to DalOnline and select the 'Login' option in the menu
  2. Log in using your NetID and password
  3. Click 'Personal Information' and ensure your program, address and other personal information is accurate

Access your @dal.ca email address

MyDal has replaced GroupWise as your email system. You can gain access by logging in to MyDal using your NetID and password.

Once you have logged into MyDal, your Dalhousie email is ready to use. Your email address takes the form of netid@dal.ca (e.g. ab123456@dal.ca).

Did you know there are other ways to gain access to your Dal email? Visit the Office 365 page for instructions on how to setup your email with other clients such as Outlook or Mac Mail.

Personalize your @dal.ca email address

You can create a personalized alias (e.g. john.doe@dal.ca) for your Dal email by going to the Personalized Email Addresses page and following the on-screen instructions.
