Dalhousie Libraries offer online guides and tutorials on how to research effectively and cite appropriately. They also offer research consultations at the Reference Desks in each library.


Writing Centre offers both individualized and group instruction to assist students in writing meaningful, clear, concise prose that conforms to academic standards.

Student Advocacy

Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service is run by the Student Union works to ensure that students are treated fairly by the university. They assist students with academic appeals and student discipline procedures.

Faculty Support

Academic Integrity Officers are available for advice or assistance regarding:

  • whether the conduct of the student amounts, at least arguably, to a violation of the academic standards of the university;
  • how to submit an allegation of an academic offence (see Form A [PDF - 11 kB])
