Resources and facilities

Places to learn, study, and relax

Health and Human Performance students have access to many facilities across campus, from meal halls to student services. Our students most often use Stairs House, Dalplex, and the Studley Gymnasium, as well as various libraries.

Stairs House is the main administrative hub for the School, located across the street from Wickwire Field and just a few metres from Dalplex. At Stairs House, you’ll find the following:

  • the main administrative office
  • faculty offices
  • the director and division heads (undergraduate and graduate)
  • student support services
  • the Pat Richards Conference Room
  • graduate student office space

The Kinesiology suite, located in the lower level of Dalplex, consists of the following:

  • offices for Kinesiology faculty
  • laboratory spaces
  • a computer lab and student lounge for all HAHP students
  • work/storage space for graduate students
  • the computer lab, the bone lab, as well as labs for exercise physiology, environmental physiology, and biomechanics

Studley Gymnasium is also home to three of our faculty members' offices (pictured left).

The Dalhousie libraries used most often by students in HAHP are the Killam Memorial Library and the Kellogg Health Sciences Library.
