Program details

Our communities deserve expert leaders in Health Care.

The Covid-19 pandemic has taught us many things, and not least that the healthcare sector needs strong leadership, critical thought, and expert administration.  Beyond the current crisis, our country’s population is aging. The need for health services is increasing. Technology is rapidly effecting how care is delivered, and healthcare expenditures are rising. Our Graduate Programs will prepare you to step into this challenging and dynamic environment.

A flagship program, and unique collaborations.

Our interntationally recognised, CAHME accredited Master of Health Administration (MHA) will prepare you to take the lead in managing healthcare organisations, cultivating a career in management and administration through which you can play a transformative role in improving healthcare in Nova Scotia, across Canada, and around the world.

We then have two sister programs: the Juris Doctor/MHA and the PharmD/MHA.  These collaborations provide condensed pathways to comprehensive qualifications in Law and Pharmaceuticals: follow the links below for more detail.

Furthermore, you’ll find Dalhousie, one of Canada’s top research universities, an ideal learning environment—it’s small enough to be personal, but large enough to have it all, and our MHA cohort is strictly limited to 24 students in each year.
