Sometimes the best way to travel smarter is to reduce travel altogether.  Adjust your work hours to beat rush hour or utilize technology to avoid the need to travel.  Cutting travel time down is good for saving energy in transport and is good for saving personal time as well.

Available technology for audio and video conference calls:

  • Through Audio Visual (A/V) Services employees can borrow laptops with Skype software and telephone conference phones. Commercial Conference Call Services such as Aliant and Mercuri Teleconferencing can be purchased by Dalhousie units.                                                                                                                                                                                                      
  • Dalhousie through the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) offers services such as eLearning and audio visual conference support for use by employees and for class use with students.
