MA Thesis: Identity and Diegetic Music in City of Sadness (1989)

Why Dal?

As an international student from China, I have found the staff and professors at Dalhousie University, especially in our Fountain School of Performing Arts, to be extremely kind, effective communicators. The professors in the Musicology Program are highly supportive and have offered me clear instructions and opportunities to improve my academic career and my English skills.

What Inspires Me?

I have been inspired to pursue the study of Music in a multi-cultural environment through my 6-year living and musical experience in Taiwan. I am also encouraged by my parents, who are both professors and are giving me strong support for my life and my academic career as I study abroad.
