MA Musicology, 2020

MA Thesis: Composer-Legislators in Fascist Italy: Distinguishing the Personal and Legislative Voices of Adriano Lualdi

Why Dal?

I chose to study at Dalhousie because of the many opportunities available to students. Upon arrival I received a generous fellowship, a teaching assistant position, and later, a research assistant position. Importantly, I found the faculty had areas of research that aligned with my interests in the field. The small class sizes and unique topics covered in seminar courses led by fantastic, active scholars made Dalhousie the obvious choice for me.

What Inspires Me?

The information we have about the world, in all points of history, is continually receiving nuance and context from scholarship in the humanities. I want to help nuance our understanding of the world by contributing to the humanities. Since I am a musician, musicology seems like the best way for me to do this.
