Caroline Zayid is McCarthy Tétrault's Litigation National Practice Group Leader and is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group in Toronto. In her role as National Practice Group Leader, Caroline leads approximately 300 lawyers and paralegals across Canada practising in all areas of disputes, restructuring, international trade, intellectual property, environmental law, and employment law – leveraging multi-disciplinary expertise to deliver client-focused solutions.

Caroline has successfully represented clients at first instance and on appeal, at all levels of court in Ontario, at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the courts of appeal in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. She regularly advises clients on dispute resolution and risk management.

Caroline previously served as a senior advisor to Ontario’s Minister of Education and Training, and has advised clients in the education sector on legislation, regulations and policy. She is a former Vice-President and board member at the Stop Community Food Centre.

Caroline is a graduate of Dalhousie Law School. While a student at Dalhousie, she served as President of the Dalhousie Student Union and was a member of the university’s Board of Governors and Senate.
