Active research with recognized faculty
Research is the most important aspect of a graduate degree. As a comprehensive research department with a small graduate class, we offer students a rich training ground where high-performing, internationally-recognized faculty mentor and supervise each student as an individual. In addition to the active research of our own faculty members, we are fortunate to have close connections with other local universities and adjunct faculty.
Get a sense of the scope of our current departmental research by reading recently published faculty work and student theses.
Our weekly speaker series and annual distinguished speaker series highlight the current research interests of our faculty and visiting faculty. Dalhousie is also affiliated with the Editing Modernism in Canada (EMiC) project.
