Dalhousie Degrees ‑ Recognized in the Workplace
A Dalhousie degree is recognized worldwide
Our graduates form a powerful network that is making important contributions in all walks of life — including the first female Supreme Court of Canada judge, the first American woman to walk in space, and 90 Rhodes Scholars.
Our well-established reputation of academic excellence is recognized by employers at national and international levels. Each year, employers come from across Canada and beyond to recruit our graduates. We work directly with employers to target students in a particular major or discipline and our career fairs provide excellent opportunities for students to connect with potential employers.
Co-op programs: Gain real-world experience
Our co-operative (co-op) education programs provide an opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional workplace. You'll alternate semesters of academic study with semesters of full-time, paid employment in positions related to your career interests.
Finding work: Paving the path to your future
Just as we support you through your education, we’ll prepare you with life skills to help create a smooth transition to the workplace. You’ll find many resources, such as the Student Career & Leadership Development Centre, to help you investigate career options and stay connected as you learn.
