COVID-19 Adjustments to Dining Service

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 measures, our dining service has been adjusted for the 2020/21 academic year, including limited service hours and revised seating layouts. See the Dining Safe @ Dal page for the most up-to-date information on dining at Jenkins Hall.

Our residence offerings and dates for 2021/22 will be dependent upon any COVID-19 response. Thank you in advance for your understanding during these uncertain times. Your health and safety will always be our top priority.

Jenkins Hall provides unlimited access all day to students looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks with our continuous dining meal plan. During off-peak times in the afternoon and evening, you can get made-to-order food fresh off the grill.

Whether you’re hanging out with friends around a platter of sushi at our Flavours of the World Japan event, or digging into a steaming bowl of veggie chili while cramming for exams, your meal plan allows you to eat when and what you want, with friends or quietly by yourself. With so much variety you won’t go hungry.

What are your options?

If you’re staying in a traditional residence, the continuous dining meal plan is mandatory. If you’re staying in a non-traditional residence, the meal plan is optional.

Dietary concerns

If you have any specific dietary restrictions, we will do our best to accommodate them.

If you want to talk to someone about your food options, please email Julie Fowler at julie.fowler@compass_canada.com to discuss accommodations before you arrive. If not, connect with Julie within your first week on campus to ensure a proper, healthy diet.

*Please note, meal plans are selected at the time you accept your room offer and will be charged to your student account with your residence fee. Residence students do not need to purchase a meal plan separately. Please contact the Residence Office if you'd like to change your meal plan throughout the year.
