Scott Albert

At Dalhousie, I attended a variety of classes in Economics including my personal favourites: Economic Development Recent Debates, Industrial Organization, and the Economics of Sex and Love

My name is Scott Albert - BA 2009 - and I studied economics at Dalhousie University.

I am currently working as a platoon commander at 5 Field Ambulance in Valcartier Quebec. The work involves physical fitness training daily, managing vehicles and well-trained paramedical personnel, equipment modernization projects, equipment and supply requests, and a variety of other administrative tasks. The path taken to become a platoon commander begins with enrolment into a Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) which, upon acceptance, involves military training in the summers while attending a university institution during fall and winter terms. Upon completion of my studies at Dalhousie I was posted to Quebec to attend a one-year distance education program mandatory for Health Care Administrators. Once this course was complete I became responsible for Ambulance Platoon.

At Dalhousie, I attended a variety of classes in Economics including my personal favourites: Economic Development Recent Debates, Industrial Organization, and the Economics of Sex and Love. In addition to studying economics I took a wide variety of health studies classes such as Health Human Resource Management.

My fondest memories in economics include team projects and presentations as well as enjoying a beer with classmates and profs at the Grad House to celebrate ending terms and to discuss economic influence and impacts in current events.
