A new award and internship initiated and supported by Pink Larkin, a Canadian dispute resolution law firm based in Atlantic Canada, will provide support and opportunities to diversity students at the Schulich School of Law.
“We’re honoured to lend a helping hand to Schulich Law students at Dalhousie University who aspire to take a leading role in providing legal services to various communities within Atlantic Canada,” says firm co-founder Raymond F. Larkin (LLB '76), Q.C. “We look to these individuals for leadership, guidance and judgment—and a future bright with promise.”
The Pink Larkin Diversity Award and Internship in Law consists of a renewable scholarship for a second-year diversity student and a biennial summer internship in law for a first-year diversity student. The recipients will have completed the voluntary self-identified section of the application, be in the top half of their class scholastically, and will have demonstrated leadership ability and community involvement, along with a desire to remain in Nova Scotia.

Supported by Pink Larkin lawyers and staff, these gifts to talented Schulich Law students coincide with the firm’s 30th anniversary. “We respect that while our 30-year history has provided a solid foundation for growth, success depends on the strength of future generations,” says Ronald A. Pink (LLB '73), Q.C., co-founder and managing partner of Pink Larkin. “Over the past three decades, we have evolved. We’ve grown from our work law heritage based on labour relations to dispute resolution, all the while remaining true to our foundation of human rights.”
As a future-focused law firm, Pink Larkin has a strong culture of valuing diversity and aims to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive and culturally sensitive environment.
