The Rho Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing proudly welcomed 17 outstanding new members into its esteemed ranks last month. A celebration was held on April 23 to mark the occasion, with eight of the new members inducted in person.
Sigma Theta Tau International recognizes excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service among nurses around the world. Membership is extended to students in baccalaureate and graduate programs who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, integrity, and leadership potential, as well as to nurse leaders who have shown extraordinary professional accomplishments.
The induction ceremony featured remarks from the Rho Rho Chapter Executive and Dr. Ruth Martin-Misener, Director of the Dalhousie School of Nursing, underscoring the importance of Sigma’s mission and the significance of this milestone. Sigma members are leaders at every level of the healthcare system—nursing executives, clinicians, educators, researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs—connected by a global network of mentorship and support.
As these new members begin their journey with Sigma, they join a legacy of excellence and a worldwide community dedicated to advancing the future of nursing.
Congratulations to all our new Sigma members!
