Congratulations to our Faculty who are the successful recipients of Research Nova Scotia International Nursing Research Program Awards as co‑PIs with researchers from India and the Philippines
Details of each project and team are:
Dr. Kelly Lackie (Dalhousie) and Anjali Kaushik (Jamia-Hamdard University, India), co-PIs. A mixed-methods exploration of the efficacy of simulation-based education to teach undergraduate nursing students how to deliver psychologically safe equitable healthcare to marginalized populations.
Dr. Audrey Steenbeek (Dalhousie) and Ms. Seema Rani (Jamia Hamdard University, India), co-PIs. Examining the acceptance of the peripheral/ground level Community Health Workers’ (CHW) roles in rural and urban India and gaining insights into the challenges and/or solutions they faced, and their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Exploring the potential application of CHWs in Nova Scotia.
Dr. Megan Aston (Dalhousie) and Dr. Nemia Alimbuyugin (World Citi Colleges Philippines), co-PIs. Readiness among public health nurses and educational institutions to meet emerging public health challenges: a case study of nova scotia and the national capital region.
Dr. Elaine Moody (Dalhousie) and B. Shaiju (Jamia Hamdard University, India), co-PIs. Exploring how nursing programs prepare entry-level nurses to provide mental healthcare: A comparative case study in India and Canada.
