Dalhousie's IV League Spirit Shines at the 2025 Sou’West Walkathon!
On October 4th, A small but mighty team of students, faculty, and staff from the Dalhousie School of Nursing: Yarmouth Campus proudly laced up their sneakers and joined the Sou’West Walkathon in support of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation. Students were busy volunteering at the color-blast and hydration stations!

Thanks to the incredible community effort, the event raised over $14,000 toward the purchase of a new electromyography (EMG) unit. This vital piece of equipment will allow local residents to access important diagnostic testing close to home—eliminating the need to travel to Kentville or Halifax.

Our Yarmouth campus team was proud to walk, dance, and get colorful for such a meaningful cause. Every step brought us closer to better health care for our community—and we had a blast doing it!
