Congratulations to year 3 BScN student Maike van Niekerk on winning the award for Best Student Poster at the recent meeting in San Diego of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society! Maike’s poster was titled: Risk for Psychological Distress Among First Nations Adults with Cancer: Association with Familial History of Indian Residential School Attendance – a project that she worked on with Dr. Amy Bombay.
