Shana Vidito and Jessi Janes, first year nursing students, were the event coordinators for this successful event which provided the opportunity for these nursing students to network while at the same time having fun in competition.
The Nursing Games are usually held in Quebec and Ontario. Due to the high cost of transporting students, Atlantic universities were not participating. Shana and Jessi were inspired to organize this event in the Atlantic region.
As a result, two teams from Dalhousie University competed against Memorial University, Cape Breton University and St Francis Xavier University, March 6th- 8th. The teams competed against each other in athletic and academic games: swimming, soccer, dodgeball, trivia and clinical simulation. Dal came out on top in all the games.
