Abstract
Trip Ninja was born out of the traveling salesman problem, but has grown into other areas of complexity within the travel sphere. Tackling complex problems in travel is what we do, and operations research is at the core of our technology. Building a tech company in the travel space has been difficult over the past few years, but with an acquisition by Webjet (a publicly traded company) Trip Ninja is able to continue and expand its plans to tackle the hardest problems in travel.

Speaker Biography
Andrés Collart is a graduate of Dalhousie's Masters of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering, having focused his masters work on using mathematical optimization for scheduling the production of airplane parts. Andrés is a co-founder and CEO of Trip Ninja, a travel technology company that has helped over 42,000 travellers find better fares and is helping travel agents perform at their best. Trip Ninja was recently sold to Webjet (ASX: WEB), with Andrés and his co-founder Brett Ziegler staying on to manage and grow the company as it ventures into this next stage
