This Thursday, September 30, marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A three-day speaker series organized by Dal's Indigenous Health in Medicine group will offer ideas on how to spend the day meaningfully.

Dalhousie is gravely disappointed in the reckless behaviour of students who organized and attended large, unsanctioned and illegal street parties near campus last weekend. While we are grateful to the majority of our students who heeded the clear warnings, there were many who still ignored these warnings. We are working hard to ensure appropriate consequences will follow.

Dalhousie is proactively communicating to all students about the importance of community safety ahead of this weekend, as the university has been made aware of large, unsanctioned parties being planned off campus in Halifax in the coming days.

Dalhousie has once again earned a gold rating from the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, recognition that serves as a key benchmark for the university in measuring its sustainability performance.
