Every year, Dalhousie comes together to recognize a remarkable group of faculty and staff whose years of service have helped shape the university's community, culture, and success.
At this year's Milestone reception, colleagues, leaders, friends, and family gathered to celebrate employees reaching career milestones of 25, 35, 45, and 50 years of service.
The event featured recognition from Grace Jefferies, vice-president, people and culture, who presented each recipient with a commemorative Milestone pin in appreciation of their contributions and lasting impact on the Dalhousie community.
A special milestone was celebrated for Dianne Landry of Dalhousie Libraries, who marked an exceptional 50 years of service. In honour of this achievement, she received a one-of-a-kind handblown glass artwork created by Dalhousie's Department of Chemistry glassblower, Ihor Krasilia.
"From advancing teaching and research to supporting students and strengthening operations, this year's recipients have played countless roles in helping Dalhousie thrive," said Jefferies. "Their collective contributions span generations of students, periods of significant growth and change, and countless moments that have helped define the university's story."
Jefferies extended Dal's congratulations and gratitude to the Milestone recipients, thanking them for their years of service, commitment to excellence, and the lasting impact many continue to make across our university.
