Extra Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English require a score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS test. The test should have been taken within the preceding two years.

Special evaluation arrangements will be made to allow Dalhousie students to return to Halifax for the start of the Dalhousie Winter and Summer terms.
Course Load
Exchange students must take a full time course load consisting of 60 NCL credits per semester.
Courses
SCS courses available to exchange students
Exchange students are normally allowed to take courses only at undergraduate level unless approved otherwise.
For courses with pre-requisites, a student must have taken courses considered equivalent to the pre-requisites.
Some courses with capacity limits do not accept exchange students.
Exchange students may take courses outside SCS to a maximum of 10 NCL credits per term, subject to the approval of the departments concerned.
Accommodation
Exchange students may apply for accommodation in student residence, however, residence accommodation is not guaranteed for one-semester exchanges.
Visa Requirements
For a two-semester exchange, you will require a "Tier 4 Student" visa. For a one-semester exchange, you need "Entry Clearance as a Student Visitor".

Insurance
Travel and health insurance is required.
