Application Updates
This fall we will be launching a new application system aimed at streamlining and simplifying the application process for prospective students to Dalhousie’s Undergraduate, Law, and Dentistry programs.
This new system has been designed with students in mind. Some of the changes you’ll see in this transition are:
Effortless Document Submission: Prospective applicants can now conveniently attach unofficial transcripts and required documentation directly to their application portal. Whether they have PDFs or screenshots, our system accommodates various file formats.
Nova Scotia and Ontario high school students are still encouraged to include their Provincial Student and OUAC numbers to allow for the download of grades.
Simplified Program Selection: Applicants will find that choosing their intended program of study is now much easier. Students will now see the subject they intend to apply to, rather than the full program name. Example: Kinesiology rather than Bachelor of Science: Kinesiology.
Number of Program Choices: Applicants will now be able to select up to two programs per application, rather than three.
Easy Access to Application Updates: Applicants can see clear and accessible updates on their application status throughout the admission cycle. If we require additional documents or have an update for the applicant, it’ll be posted to the portal in real-time. Applicants can also revisit this portal at any time to add additional documents to their files or update their personal information.
General Entrance Award Program: The application form for our General Entrance Award program will be available to applicants through the portal as soon as they submit their application for admission. Students who are awarded an early scholarship should still fill out the GEA application to be considered for additional awards.
If students are having trouble adding their documents, please have them send them to admissions.documents@dal.ca.
