Now that you've submitted your application, there are a number of steps you can complete while you're waiting for your admission decision.

Follow the steps below

Step 1: Check your application status

If you've applied for the September 2024 intake, you can conveniently monitor your application status through the Application Portal giving you the ability to view if you are missing documentation or outstanding fees.


Please check back regularly for updates and to avoid missing any important deadlines.

Step 2: Plan your finances

It’s important to start planning how you will finance your education. When making your plan, consider both your educational costs and living expenses. Start planning now:

Step 4: Attend an online information session

We host a variety of webinars to get you ready to become part of the Dalhousie community! You’ll have a chance to ask questions about living in Halifax, academics, residence, support services and anything else you’re wondering about. Check out our upcoming information sessions.

Step 5: Stay in touch

We'll share important dates and deadlines with you via the email you included on your application. Make sure you've listed admissions.documents@dal.ca as a safe sender to avoid official communications ending up in your spam folder.
