PepsiCo Athletes of the Week (week ending Sept. 11)

Dalhousie University presents our PepsiCo Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 11, 2022.

Paris Axam, Soccer

First-year defender Paris Axam is this week’s female PepsiCo Athlete of the Week.

Paris was steady on the backline in the women’s soccer home opener on Saturday, keeping shots to a minimum in their 0-0 tie with the Mount Allison Mounties. She also had two shots on goal during the game.

An arts and social sciences student, Paris is from Ottawa, Ont.

Connor Manuel, Soccer

Second-year midfielder Connor Manuel is this week’s male PepsiCo Athlete of the Week.

Connor scored the lone goal in the Tigers 1-0 win over the visiting Mount Allison Mounties on Saturday. He started and played the entire game and was a key part of the Tigers defensive and offensive play.

A native of Halifax, N.S., Connor is a commerce student.
