Lorena Heubach, Track & Field

Third-year track and field athlete Lorena Heubach is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Lorena set a new Dalhousie record in the pentathlon at the New Brunswick Indoor Championships and University Invitational over the weekend.

She earned top honours in all five events to score 3831 points to win the pentathlon, topping the Dalhousie record of 3693 points previously set by Alicia Dobranowski in 2007.

Her performance this weekend earned her a spot at the upcoming U SPORTS national championships and ranks her third in the country in the pentathlon.

An engineering student, Lorena is from Granville Beach, N.S.

Colton Heffley, Hockey

Fifth-year forward Colton Heffley is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Colton recorded five points in three games this past week.

He scored three goals, including the shootout winner to give the Tigers a 5-4 win over StFX Wednesday night in Antigonish. He also had an assist in the Tigers 5-4 OT win over UPEI Monday night and in their 4-3 OT loss to UPEI Saturday night.

A native of Swift Current, Sask., Colton is a management student.
