Athletes of the Week (Ending Sept. 8)

Bianca Jakisa, Soccer

Fourth-year striker Bianca Jakisa led the Tigers this past weekend, with two goals in the Tigers 4-4 tie with CBU.  Her effort in the game earned her distinction as the Subway Player of the Game. A leader on the attack, she also had a strong performance on Sunday in a frustrating 0-1 loss to Moncton. Bianca is enrolled in Dalhousie’s recreation management program and hails from Mississauga, ON.

Tyler Lewars, Soccer

Striker Tyler Lewars set the pace during the Tigers home opener finding the back of the net twice in Dal’s 4-2 over the AUS defending champion Cape Breton Capers. His prowess around the net earned him Subway Player of the Game honours. Originally from Ottawa, ON, Tyler is a four-year member of the team and is enrolled in Dalhousie’s management program.
