Fitting wins Wenner‑Gren Foundation grant

Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Fitting of the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology on receiving a Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research Individual Research Grant. This prestigious grant will allow her to work full-time on her manuscript "The Struggle for Mexican Maize:  Rural Producers and Neoliberal Globalization" while affiliated with the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in Mexico and the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.

The Wenner-Gren Foundation's mission is "to advance significant and innovative research about humanity's cultural and biological origins, development, and variation, and to foster the creation of an international community of research scholars in anthropology".
