List of Selectives and Advanced Selectives (2024)

Medical Sciences Honours students must include in their program at least 21 credit hours in the following courses. Students not in the honours program must include at least 24 credit hours of these courses. In both cases, at least one of the Selectives must be an Advanced Selective. For course descriptions, please click on the course numbers, highlighted in green.

NOTE: If the course does not appear on the timetable, it is not offered that year

Note that a Selective is a course from a predetermined list, provided by the program, whereas an Elective is any course at Dalhousie University. In cases where prerequisites for Selectives are not offered as Medical Sciences core courses, Elective space can be used to fulfill these prerequisites.
