DFLA and PPLS Event for Gender Equity Week – Calls to Action: Gender Affirming Care Panel
The Dalhousie Feminist Legal Association (DFLA) in collaboration with the Dalhousie Public Policy and Law Society (PPLS) is excited to announce their annual event as part of Gender Equity Week - "Calls to Action: Gender Affirming Care panel".
This in-person event will involve a round table discussion among industry professionals on barriers to accessing gender-affirming care, the role of social determinants of health, and how this translates to broader public policy and law-related questions.
The panelists for this event will include:
- Susanne Litke, Barrister & Solicitor
- Veronica Merryfield with Cape Breton Transgender Network
- Joanne Hussey with Dalhousie Legal Aid Service
Each panelist will offer their unique perspectives on gender-affirming care as related to the legal, policy, and non-profit sectors.
