This year, the Association of Health Administration Students (AHAS) took part in Feed Nova Scotia's Adopt-A-Family campaign. This event provides assistance for families in need in time for the Christmas holidays. Feed Nova Scotia obtains information from all of the families about the members of their family and their needs, they then match each family with a sponsor who provides Christmas gift and grocery support. The AHAS group were matched with two single parent families and purchased gifts for the parents and children.
In order to raise money for their two families, the students held a Christmas Bake Sale at the RBC building, raising $450 in only four hours - enough to purchase all the items on the childrens' wish list. AHAS wishes to thank everyone who donated.
