The "Grant Writing Bootcamp" MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) offered by the School of Health and Human Performance is off to an amazing start with over 1400 students and counting! This MOOC is the first at Dalhousie, but part of a worldwide phenomenon in higher education. MOOCs promote a learner-defined educational experience, development of learning networks, and sharing of resources among participants. Barriers to entry have been virtually eliminated allowing for "massive" enrollment numbers. MOOCs connect information, people, places and resources.
"Grant Writing Bootcamp" is taught by School of Health and Human Performance instructor Blaise Landry and housed on Canvas Network, an online course management platform. The course was designed by Aaron Panych at Dalhousie's Centre for Learning and Teaching.
