The Atlantic Centre of Excellence for Women's Health (ACEWH) will be closing its doors this year as their funding has ended effective March 31, 2013.
The ACEWH was one of four national Centres of Excellence for Women's Health funded by Health Canada through the Women's Health Contribution Program. The ACEWH has been dedicated to conducting policy-oriented research aimed at improving the health status of Canadian women by making the health system more aware and responsive to women's health needs. The Centre has been in operation for the past sixteen years.
A closing celebration for the Centre will be held the NS Archives on March 27, 2013. Refreshments will be served from 3 - 7pm.
There will be a date announced shortly when interested groups or individuals can come and peruse the Centre's library and take materials that will be of use to them.
